Pascale Ferran has been chosen by the Festival de Cannes, which runs from May 16th to 27th, to chair the jury of the official selection Un Certain Regard.

Pascale Ferran was first selected at the 1990 festival for her short film le Baiser. She returned in 1992 as a scriptwriter for The Sentinel by Arnaud Desplechin presented in competition.

In 1994, she won the Caméra d'Or Prize for her first feature film Coming to Terms with the Dead. L'Age des possibles was released two years later. In 2006, she directed Lady Chatterley which would successively be awarded with the Louis-Delluc Prize for best French film of the year and the César for best film.

The Un Certain Regard selection, which will be unveiled on April 19th, comprises around twenty films. The Un Certain Regard Prize will be announced on May 26th, the day before the Festival closes.

A reshowing of the selection is already programmed to run at the Reflet-Médicis Cinema (Paris 5) from May 30th to June 5th.
