Winner of the Golden Palm in 1979 with The Tin Drum, Volker Schlöndorff returns to the Croisette to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Cannes Festival, presenting a film
in a Special Screening. The German director has come to show us Ulzhan, a journey to the heart of the endless Central Asian steppe. Charles (played by Philippe Torreton) is hunting for a treasure
there. But perhaps he’s also trying to save his soul…
