The next Festival de Cannes will take place from 12-23 May 2020 under the presidency of Spike Lee and his Jury. In 2019, a record year, nearly 40,000 of you joined us. Once again this year, we look forward to welcoming our guests from all four corners of the globe in this celebration of world cinema.

While the 72nd edition was hailed as a great artistic triumph, the crowds of participants also ensured it was a success in terms of attendance. 39,700 professionals from 170 countries flocked to this great gathering of film lovers in 2019, the largest number of accreditations ever issued.
Among them, some 30 film professions and nearly 4,400 journalists and media technicians attended the previews and screenings of the 57 films in the Official Selection, from 35 production countries.

Meanwhile, at the Marché du Film, 12,527 participants (distributors, sales agents, producers, exhibitors, festival organisers, etc), came together to discover 4,000 films & projects and enjoy 1,464 projections, as well as the various programmes and innovations offered by this key industry event, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019.

At the Village international, where the return of Poland and Japan were greeted with great enthusiasm, 96 countries were represented and, for the first time, 2 pavilions housed the representatives of more than 25 African countries.

Finally, in 2019, the Festival also continued its policy of opening up to the general public with "Cannes Cinéphiles", and in particular to the younger generation with the success of "3 Days in Cannes". Through these initiatives, which will be repeated in 2020, the Festival's many cinemas played host to over 7,000 film buffs.

From 3 February, consult the registration modalities according to your category and apply online for accreditation to participate in the 73rd Festival de Cannes from 12-23 May 2020.
