For the nith consecutive year, the Festival de Cannes and the INCAA are hosting La Semana de Cine del Festival de Cannes / Festival de Cannes Film Week in Buenos Aires. The event will run from Monday 27 November to Sunday 3 December 2017 as part of Ventana Sur, the leading Latin American film market, also organised by the Festival de Cannes, its Marché du Film and the INCAA.
Six of the most memorable feature films from the 2017 Official Selection in Cannes will be screened in Argentina:
LOVELESS (Nelyubov) by Andrey ZVYAGUINTSEV (Jury Prize)
IN THE FADE (Aus Dem Nichts) by Fatih AKIN (Award for Best Actress)
120 BEATS (120 Battements par minute) by Robin CAMPILLO (Grand Prix)
GOOD TIME by Benny & Josh SAFDIE (In competition)
WESTERN by Valeska GRISEBACH (Un Certain Regard)
REDOUBTABLE (Le Redoutable) by Michel HAZANAVICIUS (In competition)
The Argentinian Actor Nahuel Perez Biscayart, who stars in 120 Beats per Minute by Robin Campillo, (as well as in Au Revoir Là-Haut by Albert Dupontel), will be guest of honour at the event. He will be accompanied by Thierry Frémaux, the General Director of the Festival, who is presenting La Semana de Cine/Film Week and will address the Argentinian audience on the subject of 70 years of Cannes.
The screenings of the Festival de Cannes Film Week, will be held in Buenos Aires's Cine Gaumont (seats 600).

We'd also like to take this opportunity to mention the highly successful eighth Films de Cannes in Bucarest, which took place in Romania from 13 to 22 October 2017. The event was first launched in 2010 by Cristian Mungiu with the support of the Festival of Cannes.
