    Synopsis

    Au centre de Berlin vaincu, Porte de Brandenburg, se tient le héros du film, le soldat Ivan Orliouk, regardant passer les chars, les voitures blindées, les canons autotractés, les combattants qui ont accompli un grand exploit.
    Le soldat soviétique vit des minutes inoubliables, sentant toute la grandeur et la portée historique des événements qui se déroulent.
    Je suis au seuil d'une époque nouvelle, pense Ivan Orliouk en regardant avec fierté ses camarades de combat.
    Il revoit le chemin de la guerre parcouru par la peuple soviétique...Il a traversé les combats, a brûlé dans le feu a failli se noyer, a répandu son sang sur les champs de bataille. L'amour infini de la patrie, la volonté de vaincre, la vaillance et l'humanité, l'intrépidité et la foi en la justesse de sa cause l'ont conduit
