Depuis 1951, le prix a évolué du Grand Prix Technique au Prix Vulcain de l’artiste-technicien en 2003 pour devenir le Prix CST de l’Artiste-Technicien en 2019. Les palmarès ont mis en lumière des filmographies incontournables et des contributions exceptionnelles d’artistes-techniciens qui ont su sublimer le souhait d’un réalisateur ou d’une réalisatrice. Ce prix concerne les films en Compétition au Festival de Cannes. Le Prix CST de la Jeune Technicienne de Cinéma récompense une jeune femme cheffe de poste à l’image, au son ou au décor, dans un film français présenté en Sélection officielle au Festival de Cannes. Il sera décerné chaque année et tant qu’il sera nécessaire d’œuvrer pour l’égalité professionnelle entre les femmes et les hommes dans l’industrie du cinéma. Cette démarche proactive affirme la volonté de la CST de donner de la visibilité au travail cinématographique de qualité que produisent chaque année de jeunes techniciennes travaillant en France.

Since 1951, the award has evolved from the Grand Prix Tech- nique to the Prix Vulcain de l’Artiste-Technicien in 2003 to become the CST Award for Best Artist-Technician in 2019. The winners have brought to light the must-see films and exceptional contri- butions of artists-technicians who have sublimated the directors’ intentions. This award concerns the films in Competition at the Festival de Cannes. The CST Award for Best Young Female Film Technician rewards a young female department head (cinemato- graphy, sound, or production design) in a French film presented in the Official Selection at the Festival de Cannes. This award will be awarded every year until equality between women and men is attained in the film industry. This proactive approach underlines the CST’s desire to highlight the quality film work produced every year by young female film technicians working in France.

L’Œil d’or – Le Prix documentaire du Festival de Cannes célèbre cette année sa 11e édition. Il récompense un film présenté en Sélec- tion officielle : Compétition, Un Certain Regard, Hors Compétition, Séances de Minuit, Séances spéciales, Cannes Classics. Les films documentaires présentés à la Quinzaine des Cinéastes, à la Semaine de la Critique et à l’ACID sont également invités à y participer.

Doté de 5 000 €, L’Œil d’or – Le Prix documentaire, a été créé par le Festival de Cannes et LaScam, en partenariat avec l’INA.

Le jury 2026 sera présidé par Mstyslav Chernov, journaliste et réalisateur ukrainien (Oscar 2024 pour 20 Jours à Marioupol), entouré de Victor Castanet (journaliste, Prix Albert Londres), Tabitha Jackson (directrice du New York Film Forum), Géraldine Pailhas (comédienne) et Lina Soualem (réalisatrice de documentaires).

L’Œil d’or – The Documentary Prize celebrates its 11th edition this year. It is awarded to a film presented in the Official Selection: Competition, Un Certain Regard, Out of Competition, Midnight Screenings, Special Screenings, Cannes Classics. Documentary films presented at the Directors’ Fortnight, La Semaine de la Critique and at the ACID are also eligible.

L’Œil d’or – The Documentary Prize, worth €5,000, was created by the Festival de Cannes and LaScam, in partnership with National Audiovisual Institute (INA).

The 2026 jury will be chaired by the Ukrainian journalist and director Mstyslav Chernov (2024 Oscar winner for 20 Days in Mariupol), alongside Victor Castanet (journalist, Albert Londres Prize winner), Tabitha Jackson (New York Film Forum manager), Géraldine Pailhas (actress), and Lina Soualem (documentary filmmaker).
