Record beaten for the Producer’s Network

Launched in 2004, the Producer’s Network enable producers to develop their network thanks to a series of meetings designed to stimulate international cooperation (thematic breakfasts, speed dating, and happy hours). 640 producers registered this year, a record.

Thematic breakfasts, which were held from 13 to 19 May at the Palm Beach, welcomed between 200 and 240 participants each morning. The 120 invited speakers (sellers, institutions, television channels, festivals…) shared their experience on seven “spotlights” selected by the Producer’s Network: Brazil, Colombia, Belgium, Canada, and for the first time, Russia and South-Eastern Europe. 
  As for the three Speed-Dating sessions (Worldwide on 13 May Latin World on 14 May, New Talents/Short Film Corner on 15 May) at the Terrasse du Festival, they each attracted around a hundred participants.
Discussions continued at the end of each afternoon during the Happy Hours organised at the Village-Pantiero, before being lost in the sounds of the closing party, on the American Pavilion Beach, in the early hours of 20 May.
