The Cinéfondation selection comes to an end today with the screening of the last four short films. The Jury led by Michel Gondry will present the Cinéfondation awards at 4:30 pm.

Bulgarian director Aramisova is presenting her fifth short film: Cagey Tigers. Two best friends enjoy playing with men’s hearts. But at the same time, they are looking for true love.  Then one day they fall in love with the same man.
Director’s quote: "They face a dilemma: when do they have to stop being self-centred?  At what point do two friends have to share?  They start to compete against each other."

Portuguese filmmaker Simão Cayatte has acted in five movies and directed six short films and is at the Festival de Cannes for the first time this year with A Viagem (The Trip). Antonio rents a convertible car and takes his wife on holiday to get away from the daily grind. Except that he doesn’t know where he’s going.
Director’s quote: "The film is about chasing dreams, believing in them and taking on numerous obstacles to make them a reality."

La Fiesta de Casamiento (The Wedding Party) is next in the selection. This short film has been directed by the second Cinéfondation duo this year: the Argentinians Gastón Margolin and Martín Morgenfield. The film tells the story of the wedding party of a young couple in a luxury hotel room.
Director’s quote: "We are great friends, but we both had our own idea for a project.  We put them together and made one film out of it."

Finally, the Bulgarian Doroteya Droumeva ends the selection with Der Brief (The Letter), her fifth short film. Maja is surprised to discover that she is pregnant and tries to understand what is happening to her by writing a mysterious letter.
Director’s quote: "You can’t make out this woman. The audience will think it knows what she’s thinking but then realise that  they are completely wrong.  She is very secretive and creates suspense."
