Tim ROTH

Initially devoted to the stage, English actor Tim Roth, gets his first screen role in Made in Britain (1982), before being directed by Mike Leigh (Meantime), Stephen Frears (The Hit) and Robert Altman (Vincent and Theo). When he moves to the United States, his performances in Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction (Golden Palm, 1994) by Quentin Tarantino, win him international recognition. In 1995, he's nominated for an Oscar for his role in Rob Roy by M. Caton-Jones.

He directs his first film in 1999: The War Zone is selected for Cannes, Sundance and Toronto. He's been since seen The New World by Ternece Malick, Don't Come Knocking by Wim Wenders and Planet of the Apes by Tim Burton. Soon to star in Even Money with Dany DeVito and Kim Basinger and Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola, Tim Roth presided the Caméra d'Or's Jury in 2004.
