SACEM

Music accompanies us throughout our lives and Sacem has been supporting those who create it for 169 years. A total of 170,000 authors, composers and publishers trust Sacem to manage their rights, including a very large number of composers for the moving image. As music is an indispensable component of any cinematographic work, Sacem pursues a cultural action policy to support musical creativity in this sector. Financial support for the creation of original music is provided through nine assistance programs, including those aimed at feature films, short films, documentaries, fantasies, and TV series.

During the Cannes Film Festival, Sacem offers to meet these creators, explore their careers and their collaborations with directors, and to listen to their work. The 2021 meetings programme is coming soon.
