Practical Guide

Different types of access

Your badge gives you access to the Festival area and screenings (Official Selection, Marché du Film, parallel sections) depending on your accreditation category:

Ticket and badge

The box office is virtual and accessible by all accredited participants at “MyCannes”. All the sessions – in every location – require a ticket.

These tickets may be presented in paper or electronic formats. They are strictly personal and their sale is strictly forbidden. Anyone breaching this regulation will risk prosecution.

One you are assigned a place at a session, you are guaranteed that place: arriving long before the start of the session is not advisable. An arrival window for entering the theatre or screening room will be indicated on the ticket for most sessions. Please keep to your allotted time.

Professional badges accompanied by tickets give access to screenings of the Official Selection (in the Grand Théâtre Lumière, Debussy, Buñuel, Bazin, Agnès Varda - formerly the Soixantième - and Cineum screening rooms). There is free access to screenings at the Cinéma de la Plage.

Screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière

By attending screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière, you accept that you may be photographed and/or filmed.

Two Gala screenings take place every night. You should arrive at the foot of the red steps wearing a dinner jacket or evening dress*, along with your badge and ticket, on time and at the entrance specified on your ticket.

*In the absence of this, you may wear a cocktail dress, a dark trouser suit, a dressy top with black trousers, a "little black dress", a black or midnight blue suit with a bow tie. Elegant shoes, with or without heels, are required (no trainers).

Returning tickets

All tickets issued must be used. In case of unforeseen circumstances, you absolutely must return your ticket to your distribution office (if your accreditation is associated with acentral office or the Central Box Office, Hall Méditerranée). If you have an electronic ticket, you can cancel it from your ticketing account. If you contravene this rule, your invitations will be restricted.

Tickets must be returned or cancelled:

- by 1 hour before gala screenings (7pm and 10pm)

- at the latest 30 minutes before the start times for other screenings

These rules do not apply to journalists.

Last minute entry

If places are available, festival badge-holders without tickets can attend all the screenings at the Grand Théâtre Lumière. A total of 6,000 people enjoy this benefit every year.
