CENTRE NATIONAL DU CINÉMA ET DE L’IMAGE ANIMÉE

Créé par la loi du 25 octobre 1946, le Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) est un établissement public à caractère administratif, doté de la personnalité juridique et de l’autonomie financière. Il est placé sous l’autorité du ministère de la Culture, son président est Gaëtan Bruel.

LES MISSIONS PRINCIPALES DU CNC SONT : • la règlementation, • le soutien à l’économie du cinéma, de l’audiovisuel, du jeu

vidéo, de la création numérique et des industries techniques, • la promotion du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel et leur diffusion

auprès de tous les publics, • la conservation et la valorisation du patrimoine cinémato-

graphique.

The CNC (the French National Center of Cinema), created by the act of 25 October 1946, is a public administrative organization with a legal entity status and financial autonomy. It operates under the authority of the Ministry of Culture and Gaëtan Bruel is its President.

THE CNC’S PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES ARE: • regulation, • support for the economy of the film, television, video,

multimedia and technical industries, • the promotion of films and television productions and

their broadcasting to all audiences, • the preservation and enhancement of cinema heritage.

RÉGION PROVENCE ALPES-CÔTE D’AZUR LA CULTURE, UN PILIER DE LA POLITIQUE RÉGIONALE

La culture est une priorité en Région Sud. Patrimoine, création, traditions, langues et innovation : elle irrigue l’ensemble du territoire. Offrir une culture accessible à tous et soutenir un secteur dynamique, c’est l’engagement de la Région. Avec 45 000 emplois, 7 000 salariés permanents, 500 entreprises et 1 000 organismes liés au cinéma et à l’audiovisuel, elle est la première région de France en matière d’emplois culturels. Chaque année, 5 000 jours de tournage génèrent 190 M€ de retombées économiques.

L’industrie cinématographique s’y développe fortement, portée par 9 lauréats du plan France 2030, dont 2 studios et 7 organismes de formation. Dans le cadre du plan Marseille en Grand, la Région soutient également La Cinéfabrique et l’antenne de la Cinémathèque française. Plus de 30 festivals sont accompagnés, dont le Festival de Cannes, référence mondiale.

En parallèle, le fonds de soutien à la création et à la production de 7,96 M€ a permis d’accompagner 190 films. Indéniablement, grâce à des studios de pointe, des paysages d’exception et un écosystème structuré, la Région Sud se positionne comme un pôle majeur du cinéma.

CULTURE: A PILLAR OF REGIONAL POLICY Culture is a priority in Région Sud. The whole area is steeped

in heritage, creativity, traditions, languages, and innovation. The Region is committed to making culture accessible to all and supporting a dynamic sector. With 45,000 jobs, 7,000 permanent employees, 500 companies and 1,000 film and audiovisual organisations, it is France’s leading region for cultural employment. Every year, 5,000 days of shooting generate €190m in economic spin-offs.

The film industry is growing strongly here, with nine winners of the France 2030 plan, including two studios and seven training organisations. As part of the Marseille en Grand plan, the Region also supports La Cinéfabrique and the Cinémathèque française branch. Over 30 festivals are supported, including the world- renowned Festival de Cannes.
