COMMISSION SUPÉRIEURE TECHNIQUE DE L’IMAGE ET DU SON

La CST est une association dont les membres comprennent des techniciens des domaines du cinéma et de la télévision. Ils sont unis autour d’un but commun : promouvoir les évolutions techniques qui contribuent à améliorer la qualité dans l’industrie audiovisuelle. La CST remplit une mission de veille technologique pour toute la profession ; elle fournit une assistance technique pour plusieurs festivals et effectue des expertises pour de nombreux organismes du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel aussi bien en France qu’à l’étranger.

PARTICIPATION SPÉCIFIQUE AU FESTIVAL DE CANNES : • La direction technique de toutes les projections depuis

1984. • CanneS Technique, masterclass sur les innovations du

secteur depuis son pavillon à Pantiero. • CanneS prime Time, quotidienne sur sa chaine YouTube qui

analyse les aspects techniques des films en Compétition. • Le PRIX CST de l’artiste-technicien, récompense le meilleur

artiste-technicien ayant collaboré à la fabrication d’un film de la Compétition.

• Le PRIX CST de la Jeune Technicienne récompense une jeune femme cheffe de poste dans un film français pré- senté au Festival de Cannes. Chacun des deux Prix est décerné par un jury de techniciens du cinéma.

The CST is an association whose members include technicians from the world of cinema and television, united by a common aim: to promote technical evolutions that contribute to improving quality in the audio-visual industry. It is a technology watchdog for the whole profession, provides technical assistance for several festivals and performs expert appraisals for numerous film and audiovisual authorities, both in France and abroad.

PARTICIPATION AT THE FESTIVAL DE CANNES: • Technical supervision of all screenings since 1984. • CanneS Technique, a masterclass on industry innova-

tions from its pavilion at Pantiero. • CanneS prime Time, a daily program broadcast on its

YouTube channel, that analyzes the technical aspects of films in Competition.

• The CST Award for best Artist-Technician is awarded to a technician whose work is a decisive element in the direction of a film in the Competition.

• The CST Award for best Young Female Film Technician rewards a head of department from a French film crew at the Festival de Cannes. Each of the two prizes is awarded by a jury of film technicians.
